Who would have a good vintage and fine wine ......The magical and mystical transformation from grape to wine , The aspect and terroir of a historical vineyard, the choice of grape varieties planted, how the vines are trained and pruned and when they are harvested all contribute to the quality of wine produced.

On the hillsides that welcome them, in the heart of certain areas of the Côtes de Beaune and Nuits, they occupy the most privileged situations, where the soil and climatic conditions are the most favorable. This gives them a very special talent for absorbing and controlling possible excess weather in a region that is not stingy and thus allows them to achieve, vintage after vintage, more completely than all the vines around them, to a total and harmonious ripening. These are the great wines.

This is the mission that the Domaine has given itself: from generation to generation, to set up and perpetuate within the framework of a permanent reflection the means capable of making the grands crus for which it is responsible, among the greatest Burgundy: Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Romanée-St-Vivant, Grands-Echezeaux, Echezeaux, Montrachet, and since this year Corton - produce wines with qualities that live up to their potential and their reputation. The AOC was created in 1936.

The selection and multiplication of very fine Pinot Noir inherited from the ancient Romanée-Conti, an incomparable genetic heritage whose finesse and diversity condition the purity of expression of the wines produced.

AREA 1.8140 Ha

PERSONALITY Prince wine, it is velvet, seduction and mystery. It is the most Proustian of the great wines: under the secret scent of rose petals, barely faded from a 1956 Romanée-Conti, is it not the intense and pure sensation of Time found that invades us?

Wine from the vineyard is among the most sought after, and expensive, in the world. On 13 October 2018, at Sotheby's of New York, a single bottle of Romanée-Conti 1945 from the cellar of Robert Drouhin sold for $558,000
