Fishing Shelter (Alieutiko Katafygio Limassol ) restaurant,tavern, apahiko (traditional,simple,laid back), it doesn't matter what you call it,what matters is that is considered by many to be a well - kept secret by locals, in a totally hidden site next to the New Port of Limassol.
A great restaurant to dine at to feel like a local ,a welcoming place offering a laid back setting with tables and chairs right by the sea waters edge.

The fishing shelter restaurant ,is the headquarter of Limassol Amateur Fishing Association, as a result they know exactly what fishes they're catching and the best way to serve them up as delicious dishes.
Miss Elena chef says "The main thing to know about eating here is that all of the food is fried and grill,crisp, not greasy, and retaining the fish's fresh flavor"
Menu based of whatever is freshly caught, expect to eat large portions of fresh fish with great prices.

The restaurant offers as well daily a great selection of meat dishes for meat lovers, with one of the biggest draws to to be on Thursdays , Lamb Kleftiko (Ofton) prepared by Mr Marios in a well-sealed traditional clay oven ,considered by locals best Kleftiko in Town.
Enjoy a bottle of ouzo, before sampling the menu,Ouzo Barbayanni ,Plomari. A classic Greek aperitif, with a clean liquorice flavor of Anis, reinforced pleasantly by notes of mastic gum extract from the island of Chios.
