What is Tannin in wine and how does it taste ?

Tannin is a naturally occurring polyphenol micronutrients with antioxidants and potential health benefits found in plants, seeds, bark, wood, leaves, and fruit skins.It’s also found in oak barrels.

Tannins express a bitter ,mouth-drying, causing puckering power sensation.

Tasting several wines, you will notice notice the difference that some wines have higher Tannins than others.(recommended tasting red wines for beginners)it can be noticed more in in young red wines .
