TASTING
Brut Millesimato D’Antan 2008
CLASSIFICATION: Based on Gavi D.O.C.G. grapes.
GRAPE VARIETIES:100% Cortese.
PRODUCTION ZONE:High hill slopes of Rovereto Superiore in zone of Gavi
SPARKLING TECHNIQUE:As tradition “in red”, refined into
GASTRONOMIC ACCOMPANIMENTS: Ideal as an aperitif, excellent after meal and for contemplative sipping. Serving temperature: 8 °C.
Only in the best years, only from the best grapes, we made this prestigious Millesimato Sparkling Wine “Reserve” that, due to a slow and old traditional handicrafts methods, can give an unmistakable intensity and unique feelings. The long aging in bottle, at least 10 years, in contact with yeasts, can offer a wine that doesn’t seem to find limits in age, a wine who discovers, in the time, a always faithful allied.
Gavi dei Gavi Black Label
CLASSIFICATION: Gavi D.O.C.G. – Dry white wine.
GRAPE VARIETIES:100% Cortese.
PRODUCTION ZONE:High hills of Rovereto Superiore di Gavi.
VINIFICATION:Strictly traditional, ancient methods.
GASTRONOMIC ACCOMPANIMENTS:Excellent with any meal; also for the usual pairings with white wines (fish, shellfish and seafood), well paired with white meats, fowl and light meats. Also ideal as aperitif and after dinner.SERVING TEMPERATURE:12°C (54 °F).
This prestigious “Gavi dei Gavi® – La Scolca” is obtained with the utmost respect for nature, from pruning to harvesting. With a strict and rigorous selection conducted with the utmost care, cluster by cluster, in vineyards over sixty years of age, we get “unique” grapes.
Then in the winery, under watchful guidance of a master expert, applying the ancient rules of vinification, refined over eighty years of family tradition, an unsurpassed style of Gavi is born, a paragon of reference.
The maximum procurable in quality as manifested by fragrance and flavour of live, intense character, harmonious and balanced, offers a surprising freshness and integrity, Notes of flint, almond and hazelnut will develop in the course of time, which does wonders.
Gavi dei Gavi d'Antan

VINIFICATION:Strictly traditional, using ancient methods. manuals and handicrafts.
GASTRONOMIC ACCOMPANIMENTS: Excellent right through a meal, after meal and also for “meditation”.SERVING TEMPERATURE:Not less than 12 °C.
Only in the best years, only from the best grapes, made this prestigious Gavi DOCG “Gavi dei Gavi – La Scolca®” that, after having aged up to 10 years in our cellar, arrive at the bottle in a unmistakable intensity and nobility of feelings that only the time can give to the “Great Wines”.
Rare wine, which must be drunk slowly, thanking to the time that made it so special and so unique, meditating on the extraordinary feelings that, like in the Proust’s “Recherche”, remember the tastes of distant and ancient memories, like ancient are the techniques with which, with patience, this wine is made. In fact only the slowness, the respectful await, the long experience and the patient art, learn in eighty years of wine making, allows to give this intense harmony of perfumes and tastes, where power and fineness join in one splendid equilibrium, brings us again to the nature and to the feelings of D’Antan®.
Gavi White Label
CLASSIFICATION: Gavi D.O.C.G. wine – Dry white.
GRAPE VARIETIES:100% Cortese.
PRODUCTION ZONE:High hills of Rovereto Superiore di Gavi.
VINIFICATION:Traditional, with temperature control.
GASTRONOMIC ACCOMPANIMENTS:Fine, delicate, pleasently tart taste indicates antipasti, fish and seafoos. Unrivaled with oyesters, but an elegant accompaniment to white meat and vegetable pies.SERVING TEMPERATURE:12 – 14 °C. (54-57 °F).
The “Gran Crù of Gavi”
Our most traditional Gavi is vinified from grapes of exuberant young vineyards located in the heart of Rovereto of Gavi, place worldwide known as the “Gran Crù of Gavi”; their perfectly balanced aging lends the wine its typical fresh, dry taste. This “Great White,” which has become a Classic on the Italian wine scene, produced in a complete accord which is now a century-old tradition, represent the true essence of Gavi wine.
