More “legs” or "tears" can point out high alcohol content or high sugar content in wine. Wine legs are caused by ethanol (alcohol) evaporating around the glass.

High alcohol wines

The higher the alcohol content of a wine, collects longer, fatter legs on glass than low alcohol wines.

When refer to a wine being “hot” or having “heat” means it has high alcohol content..

Sweeter wines

Higher sugar content wines show more syrupy tears which will make them flow slower (viscosity) around the glass.
